Total Photoabsorption Cross Sections of A=6 Nuclei with Complete Final State Interaction
نویسندگان
چکیده
The total photoabsorption cross sections of 6He and 6Li are calculated microscopically with full inclusion of the six-nucleon final state interaction using semirealistic nucleon-nucleon potentials. The Lorentz Integral Transform (LIT) method and the effective interaction approach for the hyperspherical formalism are employed. While 6Li has a single broad giant resonance peak, there are two well separated peaks for 6He corresponding to the breakup of the neutron halo and the α core, respectively. The comparison with the few available experimental data is discussed. PACS numbers: 21.45.+v, 24.30.Cz, 25.20.Dc, 31.15.Ja

Lorentz Integral Transform for Inclusive and Exclusive Cross Sections with the Lanczos Method
The Lorentz Integral Transform (LIT) method is reformulated via the Lanczos algorithm both for inclusive and exclusive reactions. The new technique is tested for the total photoabsorption cross section of 3H and 4He. Due to the rapid convergence of the algorithm one has a decrease in cpu time by two orders of magnitude, but at the same time an excellent agreement with the results of a conventio...
متن کاملExcitation of nuclear giant resonances in neutrino scattering off nuclei
The cross sections for neutrino scattering off the C and O nuclei are calculated within the framework of the continuum Random Phase Approximation. A model to consider also the final state interactions is developed. Total charge-conserving and charge-exchange cross sections for both electron neutrinos and antineutrinos have been calculated up to projectile energies of 100 MeV. The sensitivity of...

The total cross sections of the processes He(γ, p)H and He(γ, n)He are calculated. For these exclusive reactions we investigate the question of the giant dipole peak height, but we also consider higher energies. The calculation includes full Final State Interaction (FSI) via the Lorentz Integral Transform (LIT) approach [1] and employs the semi-realistic MTI-III potential [2]. The LIT method ha...
متن کاملSurface and volume effects in the photoabsorption of nuclei
Recent experimental results for meson photoproduction from nuclei obtained with TAPS at MAMI are analyzed in view of the suppression of the second nucleon resonance region in total photoabsorption. The cross sections can be split into a component from the low density surface region of nuclei and a component which scales more like the nuclear volume. The energy dependence of the surface componen...
متن کاملPhotoabsorption Cross Section Revisited: Correlated HH versus Effective Interaction HH
Two conceptually different hyperspherical harmonics expansions are used for the calculation of the total He photoabsorption cross section. Besides the well known method of CHH the recently introduced effective interaction approach for the hyperspherical formalism is applied. Semi-realistic NN potentials are employed and final state interaction is fully taken into account via the Lorentz integra...
